Welcome to the DNI Special Security Center (SSC)

The Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Special Security Center (SSC) is the Intelligence Community (IC) source for security policies, advice and guidance on security practices and procedures, security-relevant issues, and security tools. It is the Center for security expertise, analysis and the tools that the IC relies on to balance the need to protect with the need to appropriately share intelligence information.

The SSC exists to assist the DNI in sharing and protecting national intelligence information throughout the IC, the US government, US contractors, state and local officials and our foreign partners. The SSC's objectives include:

A primary goal is to make security among IC agencies as seamless as possible, to include reciprocal access to IC facilities, electronic information systems and databases and IC-wide mutual acceptance of security clearances and access approvals.


Portal Registration Instructions
The SSC Portal provides access to current security policies and other informative security information. It also provides access to a suite of collaboration tools that enable users to work together on issues of mutual interest and benefit from the collective knowledge of all portal users. The SSC Portal allows users to collaborate on information up to the UNCLASSIFIED//FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY (U//FOUO) level. Access to the portal requires a minimum of a SECRET level clearance. Potential users may be nominated by their sponsoring agency/company, or potential users may also self-nominate. In all cases, an e-mail to helpdesk@dssc.gov including the following: Name, last four SSN, DOB, and POB will start the process. Potential users will receive an e-mail with further instructions.
